A Revolutionary Approach to Healing Longstanding Negative Family Patterns

Sometimes our way of being connected in our family is to suffer like those who came before us. When a painful event occurs in one generation, someone in a later generation may unconsciously attempt to carry its weight, taking on the suffering of a parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt or uncle. Illness, depression, anxiety, fear, failure, addiction, obesity and failed relationships can all be forms of this unspoken family "loyalty". Bonded by a deep love, a child will also unconsciously sacrifice his/her own best interests in a vain attempt to ease the suffering of a parent or another family member. These family patterns of dysfunction are often passed down from generation to generation causing deep inner conflicts, guilt, unresolved issues and other "entanglements" that can create stress and cause anger in current and future family members. On Tuesday, January 11, 2011, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, Ginni Selle, PhD will be discussing and demonstrating the systemic "constellation work" of Bert Hellinger, which allows us to break these patterns and stand in greater health, strength, dignity and peace.

Here is how it works: Representatives from the group are chosen in place of actual family members. Hidden loyalties within the family system are then brought to the surface. As movements of peace and reconciliation arise, the genuine love and strength in a family can begin to flow in a healthy way. Both participants and observers can experience the profound effects of this work.

To attend, there is a $20 tax deductible donation to Spectrum International Institute, a non-profit 501(c)(3) for her talk. Upon completion of the talk, there will be two continuing education credits available for mental health professionals.
