Arrive at 6:30 PM to order dinner, and fellowship with fellow freedom lovers, and discuss current issues of interest to Libertarians.
Meeting starts at 7 PM.
Dear Wayne County Libertarian:
The February Meeting of the Libertarian Party of Wayne County will be our Spring County Convention.
At this meeting, we will be:
• Electing new officers.
• Considering bylaws amendments.
• Selecting delegates to the March 10th state convention.
• Wayne County will be allocated 21 delegates and 21 alternates.
• Discuss the number of delegates we wish to allocate to precincts.
Greg Stempfle will be giving a presentation called "Running for Public Office as a Libertarian in 2018" Some of the topics he will go over include; how to file for office, campaign finance rules, which offices are on the ballot in Wayne County, and plans at the state party level for candidate training and support, including the candidate workshop at the Spring State Convention on March 10. He will bring paperwork and can notarize Affidavits of Identity so candidates can file for office or to run for Precinct Delegate.
If the topic is still timely, we may also discuss a possible vote by the LEC (at their February Meeting) on advising the LNC to suspend National Vice Chair Arvin Vohra. There are likely to be three motions: One to support suspension, one in opposition to suspension, and one to table the matter to be voted on as a resolution at the March 10th Convention/Summit.
State party membership must be current to vote as a delegate at the State Convention. National membership is no longer sufficient under the Current Bylaws.
In liberty,
Scotty Boman
Wayne County At-Large Board member and outreach volunteer
