BRC2 (formerly ERC)

Details

For riders who already have basic skills. It is similar to the BRC (Basic Rider Course) except the speeds are higher and riders should be riding their own motorcycle. It is an excellent refresher course for practicing and renewing basic riding skills. Basic Rider Course 2 (formerly ERC) provides current motorcyclists continuing opportunities for rider education and training. The BRC2 is designed for riders with a minimum six months and 3,000 miles experience. Students provide their own street-legal motorcycles with proof of ownership (or written authorization to use bike in class), current license with “M” endorsement, proof of insurance, current state inspection, must pass a visual pre-ride safety inspection (T-CLOCS), and wear required riding gear (same as BRC description). If these requirements are not met, student will not be able to participate and no refund or reschedule will be granted. This is a one session, 5 hour course, outside - rain or shine.

The best location that I could find for me (and believe me I tried) is in Charlottesville at Albemarle High School. The course is on May 11th from 1:00 - 6:00 PM and is $65. You can go here for the registration page:

It's takes about 1 1/2 hours to get there from Warrenton so we'll leave at 11:00 am on May 11th to make sure we have enough time to get there. I'm thinking we grab a bite to eat after the course.
