BCG Xmas Charity Ride - All Categories - Everyone Welcome

Details
This is the BCG event of the year - and as we missed out in 2020, we want to make the BCG's Annual Xmas Ride as big as possible!!
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/bcg-broughton-cycling-groupxmas21
This year our event will be sponsored by one of BCG's Supporters - Franklins Solicitors. They will provide refreshments for riders at Willen Hospice and also making a donation to Willen Hospice jointly with us.
Franklins Solicitors LLP offers legal services for private clients and businesses across Milton Keynes, Northampton and the surrounding areas, www.franklins-sols.co.uk
For those who have not taken part in the past, we encourage everyone to take part, regardless of what category you normally ride. In 2019, we had a sea of Santa's, reindeers, Christmas trees, angels and Christmas crackers as we rode through Newport Pagnell and spread BCG festive cheer.
Let's make BCG's Official Christmas charity fancy dress ride even bigger this year.
There will be a prize for the best outfit! AND a prize for the best decorated bike. Remember, Elf and Safety though! One £25 Wiggle voucher and 1 free annual BCG membership.
We'll start off in smaller groups and ride out to Salford, Cranfield High Street, down to Newport Pagnell down the High Street to spread festive cheer then onward to Willen Hospice.
Willen Hospice is our 2021 Charity partner and we will be arriving to give them some Christmas presents for their residents and to present donated funds. They are looking forward to receiving us and will provide a cafe service jointly funded by Franklins for us (hot drinks and cakes/mince pies etc). We would kindly ask riders to make an optional donation to help the charity even more - they need over £4m a year to fund their service as they only receive a quarter of their funding through the NHS.
We will then take riders back to the meetpoint (via some redways), or if you wish you can make your own way home, some ride leaders may even offer a further road ride - see meetup for details.
Dressing up is encouraged but it IS NOT mandatory, we'd rather you be there and take part in this event, if you are not one for dressing up.
This ride is all about the fun, so the pace will entirely be determined by
the riders' ability to cycle in costume, but we encourage riders from every single category in BCG.
This is a fun ride and Santa will never leave any of his helpers behind!
So get planning your outfit now.
if you can't make it and still wish to donate - please donate at our JustGiving page....attendance at the ride is free, but we would encourage our members to give an optional donation, ether on website or on the day...
