On Wednesday, May 15th, 2019, the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences at uOttawa will be hosting Professor David R. Liu, an HHMI Investigator from Harvard University, MIT, and the Broad Institute (www.liugroup.us). Dr. Liu will present the annual Lemieux Lecture at 11:30am in FSS 2005, and you are invited!

Dr. Liu is a maverick at the forefront of emerging genome editing technologies (CRISPR, etc.). In 2017, Nature Magazine tabbed him as one of their top 10 scientists in the world. We are extremely excited that Dr. Liu accepted our invitation to give a talk, and we look forward to welcoming him to uOttawa.

Le mercredi 15 mai 2019, le département de chimie et de sciences biomoléculaires de l'Université d'Ottawa accueillera le professeur David R. Liu, chercheur HHMI de Harvard University, au MIT et au Broad Institute (www.liugroup.us). Le Dr Liu présentera la conférence annuelle Lemieux à 11 h 30 dans la salle FSS 2005, et vous y êtes tous cordialement invités!

M. Liu est un franc-tireur qui développe des technologies de pointe pour l'édition des génomes (CRISPR, etc.). En 2017, Nature Magazine l'a classé parmi les 10 meilleurs scientifiques du monde.
