Te Ara Awa to Mana

The Ara Tawa bike path now joins to Porirua. I thought we could try it out. Meet at Takapu Rd Station (9:44am Kapiti train from Wellington arrives 9:56am; 9am from Waikanae arrives 9:49am), north on Ara Tawa (http://wellington.govt.nz/your-council/projects/tawa-shared-path) to Porirua, then through the Whitby Traverse (http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/648361922) to a cafe stop at Pauatahanui. Return by Ara Piko (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n8NoufpEdc) (hopefully dodging the drone and tinkly soundtrack on this video!) and Cambourne Walkway (http://www.pcc.govt.nz/Leisure/Walkways-and-Pathways/4-Camborne-Walkway) around the north side of Pauatahanui inlet to Mana and train home.

As usual you're welcome even if you don't have a Gold Card (you'll just have to pay for train ticket) or a folding bike (you'll just have to take your chances on the train having space).
