What we're about

If you are a software engineer who wants to grow their problem solving skills as well as their modern technologies skills, then you need to join the 1618 Mobs. We get together regularly for a mini-hackathon in the style of mob programming. The puzzles we solve aren't a waste of time but are designed to help you learn the basics of computer science as means to solving problems. This will help you become a more attractive candidate for future employers.

1618 Hackathon: Humanizing Homelessness with Flutter Mobile Technology

Blink - UX Research & Design

Network and interact with similar minded people while learning new technology and hearing from guest speakers in Everydev's first 1618 Hackathons of 2019! We will help humanize homelessness by building a mobile app in Google's new Flutter framework to impact our community. Flutter allows development for both Android and iOS; think React Native a la Google. The Hum app is a social network connecting those in need with those who have the means to help. Throughout our 6-8 week series, we will be addressing challenges focused around implementing app features, learning Flutter, and handling the complexities of both location-based matching, video encoding, and video decoding. Your impact from this series will be memorable.
