Maximising UX for Mobile Application

This talk will look at the UX process behind a mobile app developed for Blackburn with Darwen Council that enables cyclists to view cycling routes. The main UX challenge with this app has been to apply subtle changes between web and mobile platforms that deliver the best user experience on mobile apps even when there is no internet connectivity or when the connectivity is unreliable at the user end. Focusing on this cycling app, this talk will explain how to:

• Thoroughly research the problem and find a solution

• Investigate technology to ensure the best possible user experience

• Find inspiration

• Prototype for mobile

Steve Hilton (CEO) leads an innovative, cross platform development team at Liberty Apps who work with various councils and communities to deliver robust, reliable and intuitive mobile apps and web solutions since 2008. In 2016, Steve already won an Intellectual Property Office hackathon and designed the most noteworthy app during by Public Health England HackX.

We will also have space for lightning talks where anyone will have a chance to speak for up to 3 minutes on something UX or UI related
