We will be celebrating our 1st birthday with our biggest ever meetup, nice food, and a fantastic lineup!
6:15pm - Doors open, greek mezze platter + drinks will be kindly sponsored by Autotrader (http://www.autotrader.co.uk).
7pm - Customer Journey Mapping for Mobile Apps
This talk will explain the UX process behind WOO (https://www.wootalent.co.uk/), an innovative mobile app aiming to motivate and reward employees for referring people they know for new positions. The main challenge with WOO was to marry text, Whatsapp and social media channels into a simple interface and visualise the data in an easy-to-use format. This talk will demonstrate how this experience was developed and designed using customer journey mapping.
Ben Gross (https://uk.linkedin.com/in/electriccircus) has been working in brand development and digital design for over 10 years in Manchester. He is the Director of Electric Circus (http://www.electriccircus.co.uk/), a digital design and development studio creating projects that connect customers to emotive experiences that drive results and hit a sweet spot between design and strategy.
8pm - Persuasion Design
This talk will explain the development process of Code Computerlove (https://www.codecomputerlove.com)'s own persuasion design model. The purpose of the model is to offer coherency between agency and client, as well as to form a robust process at Code Computerlove. Laurie and Charles will share the successes and and failures of the model and would like to take the opportunity to open a discussion as well, as its something that they have been working on internally for a number of years, in order to continually improve this model (by talking about it, a lot!).
Laurie Penalber (https://twitter.com/LaurLaurMay) is a User Experience Consultant at Code Computerlove, using skills in persuasion design, information architecture, accessibility and user testing to create user-centric experiences. She has worked with clients, such as Amnesty International, Brother, MS Society, Transform, and the BBC to balance business objectives with user needs. In her free time, she likes to FaceTime with her english bulldog, Queen Elizabeth, who is currently stuck in America.
Charles Burdett (https://twitter.com/DurableStretch) is a multi-disciplined Experience Designer at Code Computerlove. Charles has worked with Chester Zoo, Center Parcs, ASDA and the BBC. Charles is an advocate for human-centered design and is always looking out for processes that improve his craft. His most recent achievement was designing The Higher Lower Game, a fully responsive web game / app that reached number one in the App Store. When Charles isn’t designing, he is playing video games, or sleeping.
