AutoSens Kids Hackathon Camp - Lawrence Tech

Details

In lieu of our regular biweekly meetup, the A3VG will be lending support to Alex Polonsky and the DAVG group at the "Kids Hackathon" event at Lawrence Tech on May 11 and May 12. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/detroit-autonomous-vehicle-adventure-kids-hackathon-tickets-59146380416.

The Hackathon is sponsored by the organizers of the AutoSens event that is in town May 14- 16. https://auto-sens.com/autosens-detroit/. At the Hackathon, kids will learn some basic chops with Python, and then program Open MV based 1/16 (ish) scale autonomous cars.

We'll also be setting up a vehicle simulator that has been adapted to function as a wireless controller for training for Donkey Cars. The Kids will see the actual Donkey driving range from the vantage point of the cameras that are installed on the cars and accumulate training laps by driving the cars around the range with the vehicle simulator's actual steering wheel and accelerator pedal.

Let me know if and when you can help with this event....

Thanks all,

Neil Gudsen
