What is Clojurebridge?

ClojureBridge is a free, beginner-friendly Clojure programming workshop that aims to increase diversity within the Clojure community. This is the 4th edition of the Bangalore chapter.

You will learn fundamental programming concepts in Clojure through practical examples and exercises. Teachers and assistants will be there to guide you.

What is the fee?

As a community initiative, the workshop is free of cost.

Who can apply?

This edition of ClojureBridge Bangalore will be for women and non-binary attendees only.

The workshop is open to people who are completely new to programming, as well as existing developers new to Clojure.

Depending on the crowd, we will split into groups of Beginner and Intermediate. The intermediate group will have more challenging exercises to delve into.

What is the event schedule?

  • 29th Sep, 6:30pm - 8pm (1.5h): An overview of Clojure, demos and support setting up a Clojure development environment on your laptop. This will happen online. We will send the meeting link once you RSVP.
  • 30th Sep, 10am - 5:30pm (7.5h): Work through the Clojure concepts and carry out coding exercises in small groups. This will happen at the venue.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your own laptop for the workshop. Everything else, including wifi, drinking water, lunch and tea will be provided at the venue.

Sandilya Jandhyala (https://twitter.com/jysandilya), a passionate educator who has conducted workshops and recorded videos to help people upskill on Clojure in the past.
