CPAN TAF is a generic open source Test Automation Framework for anyone and every task, which is self-contained, independent, and flexible for extension and integration.

The framework is a principle-driven build with plug-in and p2p architecture, which addresses automation challenges by four principles. This presentation discusses and demonstrates how these principles are materialized.
Dr. Wang will demonstrate why he created the principles and the framework, which he will outline in tonight’s discussion.

Our speaker/moderator today: Dr. Yongyan Wang - Before working in Software QA industry, Dr. Wang developed the "Inverse Modeling theory" in his PhD program to guide numerical simulations to understand generic linear and non-linear problems. The theory was applied to system modeling, like pollutant transport simulation, tsunami analysis, and Columbia River Hydrodynamics Modeling. His research also developed a multi-media info system for St John's Landfill Ecosystem for the local government.

After joining in the software quality assurance field, Dr. Wang focused on test automation. He has extensive experience with applying automation tools, like QTP, Expect, autoIt to address QA automation needs. While using different automation tools to solve different types of automation tasks, Yongyan Wang developed an open source automation framework (CPAN TAF) to integrate automation effort with the goal of adhering to his four principles. The framework has been used in several projects, including, QTP-UI testing, Jira automation, autoIt, lab equipment monitoring, database algorithm testing. In this webinar, he will discuss the automation challenges and demonstrate how the automation framework can address those issues.

The TAF is a self-contained, language independent framework. It runs on both Window and Linux operations.
