A Different Kind of Presentation Evening
Details
As we discussed after our last event, this time we'll try out a different event structure: after the presentation(s) we'll have an open space session with our speakers.
We are going to start with Imre Samu's lightning talk (10 minutes) about Lean Startup and Theory of Constraints. Please mind that this particular talk will be presented in Hungarian.
Afterwards, Árpád Kocsis is going to talk about his work as an IT manager at a multinational company which produces cars. As an IT manager he has multiple teams at different locations, and using Agile, Lean or Kanban is not an option for him, although the software industry took the Lean and Kanban idea from the car manufacturing. The talk will cover why Lean or Kanban isn't an option for him and how he operates successfully without them on a daily basis. This talk will be presented in English.
About Imre:
TBA
About Árpád:
Arpad Kocsis is IT Manager at Nissan. He graduated from JATE as an software developer mathematician, and worked as a system administrator, programmer, project manager and line manager at different companies (Wincor Nixdorf, Morgan Stanley, TCS, Nissan) since. He has Operational Management and Nissan PM certificates. He joined Nissan Europe in 2007, first as IT manager responsible for the Central and Eastern European region, and now he is responsible for the AMIE (Africa-Middle East-India-Europe) region's Warranty information systems. Working at Nissan in a position where IT and manufacturing meets, it gives a unique view on software development and project management.
Thanks to the open space style there won't be a strict agenda. we start at 19:00, Imre's and Árpád's presentations will take approximately 10+20 minutes, after them we have open space session(s) until 20:30. The open space will be in English as well.
If it is possible please come a bit earlier, because we have to register at the reception!
