The Mathematics of Post-Quantum Cryptography

Details

Presented by Emily Stamm, Senior consultant in quantum computing at Protiviti and Co-founder of CyberSecurity Non-Profit (CSNP)

Once developed, a sufficiently powerful quantum computer will break our current public key cryptography (e.g. RSA , DSA, ECC). For this reason, NIST is currently standardizing new Post-Quantum Cryptography - public key cryptography that is resistant to quantum attacks. In this talk, we start with the basics of cryptography and quantum computing, and then introduce the mathematics behind the new forms of cryptography, including lattices, error-correcting codes, and elliptic curve isogenies.
