Crystal Lake TACA Meeting

Details
Sonja Hintz, is a registered nurse with extensive clinical experience and the mother of fourteen year-old Alexander, who no longer has autism. With Alex's diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder eleven years ago, Sonja was compelled to reevaluate her beliefs and knowledge in traditional medicine. Through the use of therapeutic dietary intervention, biomedical treatments and other therapies, Alex has made a recovery. Sonja currently works at True Health Medical Center, applying what she learned for her own son to help others. She writes and lectures frequently about biomedical treatment for children with autism. She is a graduate of Marquette University with a bachelors of science in nursing, and has worked with children with disabilities in various capacities since she was an adolescent.
Alexander Hintz is a 14-year old young man that has recovered from his diagnosis of autism and remembers aspects of how he felt when younger. He has spoken on behalf of biomedical treatments for those with autism spectrum disorders and the right of parents to pursue these treatments. Alex spoke at a listening session with legislators at Autism One in 2009, and last year he spoke at the American Rally for Personal Rights (www.americanpersonalrights.org (http://www.americanpersonalrights.org/)). Alex will be attending high school in the fall as a freshman. Alex co-authored a chapter in the book, Vaccine Epidemic with his mom, Sonja.
