Hacks/Hackers Social & Ideas Meetup

Hi everyone:

We've finally planned the next Hacks/Hackers Meetup. We'll be meeting to discuss Hacks/Hackers Triangle, what people want to get out of the group, what people want to contribute to the group, and ideas/topics for the next 6 meetups.

One idea we are already working on is a "Mining Social Media" Meetup, which would be sometime in December and involve students from the news organizations at Triangle-area universities and colleges. The first half would be a panel discussion about what tools are being employed. The second half would be presentation driven, and focus on tools that are being built now that can be employed to mine social media, how to parse that data, and then publish it.

We have reserved the private dining room upstairs at the carolina brewery.
