I purchased my first cabin "Kiss An Angel Good Morning" cabin from a builder, brand new on April 26, 2018 for $310,000. It came fully furnished as most cabins do. It appraised for $329,000. As of Jan. 2020 my market analysis shows my cabin would sell and appraise for about $360,000. I put 10% ($31,000) down with a 5.25% interest rate (yes, that is high). Mortgage, taxes, hazard insurance, PMI is $2,046/month. Property Taxes on this cabin are $1,900/year. Insurance is $2,200 a year. In 2018 I paid down the mortgage with all of my profits but in 2019 I did not use my profits to pay down the mortgage. I used my profits to purchase my second cabin. As of Jan. 2020 my loan balance is $259,504. After the first 21 months, I have $101,000 equity in my first "KAAGM" cabin.
