As an AI consultancy firm, we at ML6 get a lot of interesting use cases. One of these was the case were we needed to predict the power generated by an offshore wind farm. Being able to predict the amount of renewable energy produced is essential for the energy transition. withthegrid builds an IoT asset monitoring application for infrastructure, that allows you to monitor assets, connect IoT sensors, detect anomalies and manage workflows. Sobolt is a high tech Dutch AI company working on several innovative solutions for climate change adaptation. One of their teams, Sobolt Solar, has developed tools using AI to automatically detect the current realization and the future potential of solar energy on rooftops and open parking lots. In this talk, they will focus primarily on their Zonnedakje (Solar Rooftop) application. This tool currently helps more than 50 municipalities in the Netherlands to easily detect which rooftops already have solar panels installed and which ones are very suitable, but don’t have them yet. By using Zonnedakje municipalities can specifically target those residents and companies that have the perfect rooftops to generate solar energy and support them in taking action to install solar panels. - https://www.sobolt.com/
