Details

The St. Francis Inn (http://www.stfrancisinn.org/ministries/inn.html) is a Franciscan, Eucharistic community called to minister with the poor and homeless of Philadelphia. They have been serving meals to the neediest individuals and families in Philadelphia since 1979. A breakfast of hot or cold cereal or pastries is served three days a week, while they serve a sit-down meal in their dining room every day. They now serve over 350 meals a day with dignity and respect. Their serve their meals restaurant-style; guests don't walk through a line to get their food, compassionate volunteers serve them at their tables. In addition to the dine-in meals, we also provide food baskets for families and home-bound seniors monthly.

Volunteers will help to set up, serve the meal and break down for dinner service. Dinner typically feeds 300 guests. If you sign up, you must arrive at 4pm and be able to stay until approximately 6:30pm.
