Drum for Peace Circle...Standing Rock and Beyond

Details

Hello!

This is a time to be grateful for everything in our lives and I can't think of a better way to acknowledge this holiday season and celebrate then by sending the music of drums into the atmosphere. Let us enjoy ourselves and share in the beauty of Christmas with each other and the energy of different drums and instruments echoing throughout this 100 year old building. You can feel the spirit and energies of many years of activities this historic building has occupied.

We will be drumming to send prayers and energy to those who are protecting the Missouri River in North Dakota at Standing Rock from having a pipeline put under the river. Thousands are there peacefully stopping this from happening (See Standing Rock Protectors - Pipeline Protest) on Facebook . We will be connecting with other drum circles and people from around the world who will be doing the same thing, creating a beautiful wave of healing light and energy.

Bring drums, rattles, flutes, guitars... and join the fun. We will bring extra instruments for those without drums of their own.

Sue will set up and lead the Hoop of Many Colors community drum we carry. She is 3 1/2' ceremony drum and has traveled and been played around the world. Be ready to play her with us!

All are welcome and please bring a friend and a holiday snack to share. Children can come for free under the age of 15...we welcome their energy and freedom of expression.

We ask for a donation of $10.00 per person which will help with costs for advertising and facility use. You can pay through our web-site SOTEM.org and just put in comments (Drum Circle). You can also pay at the door but please RSVP if you are planning on coming.

Sanctuaries of the Earth Mother (SOTEM.org) is a non-profit educational organization. We offer a means of building a better world through education, where people are more harmoniously and sustainably connected to the Earth, all its creatures and each other through the joint efforts of all involved in the circle of its creation. We hope you can join us and share in the energy of many drums.

Looking forward to seeing you.
