Cambridge 4: A LightGraphs tour: flexible toolkits and abstractions

Details
Come for a chill meetup, drink some coffee and meet other Julia users.
Pizza will be provided at 7:00pm,
and we will aim to start the main talk at 7:45pm.
(details below)
After the main talk we have the chance for short adhoc presentations.
Feel welcome to give short demonstrations of anything you think is cool.
There will be plenty of time for anyone who wishes to give a 5-10 minute half-planned talk, if one is so inclined.
If you are interested, comment below, or post in the #cambridge channel on the JuliaLang slack.
If you decide on the night that you are keen to give a short talk, that is probably fine too (time permitting).

## Main talk: A LightGraphs tour: flexible toolkits and abstractions
From logistics to bioinformatics or web analytics, graphs are versatile abstractions for modelling problems and solving them with specialized efficient algorithms. But with different problems comes the need for different representations.
We will highlight the key features of LightGraphs, the central package of JuliaGraphs, containing the core graph abstractions and necessary algorithms; before an overview of some packages building on top of these abstractions for new algorithms and specialized custom graph types.

## About our speaker: Mathieu Besançon
Mathieu is a PhD candidate in a double program between Polytechnique Montreal & INRIA Lille. His research focuses on mathematical optimization models and applications for power grids. Outside research, he also works on open-source projects around mathematical optimization, graphs and statistics.
We are lucky to be able to catch him for this event while he is visiting his supervisor in Edinburgh.
