Come and join us for the Summer NoSQL East evening Meetup with James Tan, MongoDB.

In this talk, James will first provide an overview of MongoDB - why you might want to use it (if not already), how to take advantage of built-in features like replication, automatic fail-over (with live demos), read preferences, and write concerns. Then we'll look at performance tuning and monitoring tools (e.g. MMS, log files, mloginfo, mplotqueries), tips, and best practices. Finally, Q&A for anything else that might be of interest.

James Tan:
James is a Senior Consulting Engineer at MongoDB Inc., based in London. Originally from Singapore, he spent the last 5 years at an Enterprise Linux vendor in Germany, doing web development and DevOps, working with MySQL , PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. He now helps users in EMEA to optimise their MongoDB usage and deployments.

The evening will unfold like this:

6.-6.30 pm Registration, Refreshments and some time to meet and mingle

7.30-8.30 Questions followed by refreshments and networking
