The Spiritual Lessons in Surrendering Your Weight

I have organised the first Spiritual Lessons in Weight Management Discussion group! I hope you can come along.

This is a brand new 8 week course with wide ranging discussions of spiritual concepts and practices that are non diet based, not focused on weight loss but instead on the beliefs, thoughts and inner spiritual nature of the behaviour around dieting, weight and eating.

My intent for the discussion group is for everyone to already have a copy of Marianne Williamson’s book “A Course in Weight Loss” and have read at least the first few chapters so we can begin to discuss the concepts and ideas in her book. (Fishpond has it for a great price and free delivery) I agree with many of her ideas but there are some I find challenging and I find myself resisting, which tells me I have different beliefs which I would love to explore with a group of likeminded people.

I am interested to find out your thoughts and insights and I am imagining a kind of round table discussion bringing together many views and different experiences which can benefit us all.

I would also like to bring other ideas and non-diet sources of information to the discussion where appropriate and weekly practices including meditation, group healing and journaling. (Some of you may want to contribute your talents to the evening? If you could let me know any ideas you have I would be pleased to integrate them into the evenings.) Each week, as we read further into Marianne's book and practice some of her ideas, you can bring your thoughts and questions and pose them to the group, as I shall do also.

It is starting Thursday evening July 28th at 7.30pm – 9pm. Crows Nest – at my clinic – we will be using the Training Room and having refreshments too. 65 Hume St, Ground Floor, Dynamic Mind Works.

It is planned to run for 8 weeks. $195 (around $25 per week). Payable by direct deposit or Paypal.
