Friends,
Please join us on March 2 for an informal discussion about organizing in the Hartford area to address climate change.
350CT has been one of the principal activist groups organizing climate action in Connecticut, but to date most of the organization's meetings and events have been in the southern part of the state. Recognizing the increasing urgency of broad action to address climate change, the Green Sanctuary group at the Unitarian Society of Hartford is hosting the March 2 gathering to catalyze efforts in north-central Connecticut.
This will be an opportunity for individuals and groups in the Hartford area to discuss how we can organize -- and propel -- local and statewide campaigns.
We are planning a two-part agenda. First, we will meet 350CT organizers, hear about the group's ongoing projects, and discuss ways to advance these efforts in the capitol region. Second, for those interested specifically in how congregations can get involved in climate action -- and why they should -- we will meet with the director of the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network. Both portions of the meeting will have ample time for open discussion and brainstorming.
Bring your ideas. Bring your energy. Bring your friends. Pass the word.
Please let us know whether you can attend --
