This MeetUp group is a collection of vintage and modern Swing & Social dance events and classes in Las Vegas, NV. Events & classes are hosted by Professor Jitterbug's School of Swing (also host of this Meetup group); SwingDanceVegas, the community for vintage swing dances & events for over 20 years; and, Famous Fridays, a local West Coast Swing community. If you are looking to meet new people while learning a new skill and gaining a new hobby, you're in the right place!
And if you're nervous, well, we all were our first time. Remember, the best time to learn how to dance was 20 years ago. The second best time is now!

Note: This is not a progressive series, so you can show up any or all of the 4 weeks.
This November, step onto the dance floor and discover the heartbeat of American music and dance with Swing ’N’ Soul. Over four weeks, we’ll learn how to move with rhythm, style, and spirit to the sounds of R&B, Gospel, and Soul from the 1950s through the 1970s.
We’ll dance together to the voices that shaped generations, like Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, James Brown, and the sounds of legendary labels like Motown, Chess, Atalntic, and Stax.
From smooth partner connection to bold rhythmic expression, this class will show you how to let the music move you, whether you’re just starting out or looking to expand your swing repertoire with soulful flair.
Come ready to learn, laugh, and let loose. Together we’ll celebrate the songs that stirred souls and filled dance floors and bring them back to life, step by step.
