Toronto Ravines urban hike Nov 19, 2011 10:00 AM at Eglinton West TTC

From: user 3.
Sent on: Monday, October 31, 2011 8:40 PM

All Strangers In Toronto Welcome !  (12-40)

A beginner hike but all are welcome to attend (up to 40 members (minimum 12))

Fall colors may have gone by now but regardless, if we have good weather,  it's still a good exercise, a chance to meet new members and a chance to explore your Toronto which maybe you have not seen before.

Starting from Eglinton West station, we will hike along the Belt Line Linear Park and cross Yonge Street to enter Mount Pleasant Cemetery. After exploring the cemetery, we will enter a system of natural ravines, which will eventually lead us to the St. Clair Subway Station (KM 11).  We will visit the Don Valley Brick-works along the way and have lunch there (20 Min max). This hike will combine some paved areas as well as natural preserved habitat. After the hike, we can enjoy a beverage and/or meal at a local establishment.  Weather Permitting: Only severe weather will cause cancellation of this event. (check website and your email the night before or morning of the event)
