The Monday class is almost full with people who did not use Meetup to register; but, there still are seats available for this class. RSVP soon if you want to attend!

Have you ever wondered whether you should own a business, instead of working for someone else?

• Is finding employment a challenge for you?

• Do you have an unfulfilled passion that you would like to express by being an entrepreneur?

Many of us are unemployed or are working at a job that no longer fits our current interests. We want work that is fulfilling and meets our lifestyle needs. There are many things to consider in deciding whether to take the chance on becoming a business owner (entrepreneur). We shall do some deep thinking about reasons to and not to start a business.

After you have enough "food for thought" in that area, we'll cover topics like the step by step processes one must take to create a legal business entity with the state and federal governments. We'll also review subjects about creating a business plan, what's involved in choosing a location, what kinds of services you might have to outsource, and great places to network for support.

We already have 2 people who want seats for the Sunday class and 4 for the Monday class. Interest is high, so RSVP as soon as you can, as seating is limited.

Below is a testimonial from a recent student in this class.

"I highly recommend this for anyone considering or starting their own business. Nancy has helped me immensely with giving me the information I needed in an easy to digest format. I am so grateful for her depth of knowledge on this subject!!!"

Here is a comment from someone else with whom I have shared the class materials.

“What impressed me about Nancy’s business class is that she begins with essential questions about whether starting your own business is right for you. In addition she addresses a few rarely discussed very necessary concerns such as privacy of information for the safety of the business owner as well as her or his clientele.”

I provide extensive notes (in English or Spanish), but you should bring your laptop, if you think you might actually want to register a company during the class.

My Background: I have worked for multi-national corporations, small “Mom & Pop” companies, state agencies, and higher education throughout the United States. I was a Business Manager for many years and was responsible for millions of dollars in payments for services, budgeting and fiscal operations, police and emergency operations, food service, bookstore service, developing policies and procedures, plus many Human Resources (HR) functions. So, I know how various businesses run and what their needs are in both the for-profit and not-for-profit worlds.

This overview workshop is the first in the All You Need To Know Series. Additional classes are available in areas, such as developing a business or marketing plan, basic business writing, how to create simple WordPress, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media pages, to name a few. This class provides all you need to know to get started in establishing a new business. The presentation also may be purchased on-line in English and in Spanish, as a PowerPoint for your use only

You may pay here or at the event; but you must have RSVP'd in advance, so that we have a correct headcount, and I can have the correct number of extensive handouts. If you have questions before RSVP'ing, feel fee to contact me at 540-636-4311.
