International Reggae All Stars at Normandale Lake, Bloomington, Thurs June 19th

Details
Free.
Food and beverage service begins at 6:30 PM.
Music starts at 7:00 and goes until 9:30 PM. I'll be there by 6:00.
Get there early, if you can, for easier parking, and to introduce yourself/ be introduced, and get to know people a little before the music starts.
Celebrate Juneteenth with the International Reggae All Stars, a truly global band with members hailing from Venezuela to Trinidad, and Ghana to Kingston Jamaica.
Featuring one of today’s hottest reggae vocalists, Kingston native Lynval “Golden Voice” Jackson, the IRAS play reggae, dancehall and all the Bob Marley classics, and bring peace, love, and positive vibrations with them wherever they go.

Food vendors: HaDa Foodie , Kurbside Ice Co , Sambusa Samosa
Beer vendor: Northstar Tavern
I'm not sure about vendors' payment terms - cash only? credit card only?
It's a good idea to bring both cash and credit card.
Free parking
If you get there early you may be able to find a spot in the park's parking lot, just off W. 84th St.
Back-up plans: 1) Last year there was lots of free parking on the west side of Chalet Rd. There's a paved walking path over there near the northwest corner of Normandale Lake that leads right to the bandshell area. It's maybe a quarter of a mile/10 minute walk.
2) I've heard, but can't confirm, that there might be available parking, for free, in the 8400 Tower ramp, which is accessible via a driveway to the east from Normandale Lake Blvd, the first turn on the right (just after going under the skyway) as you turn onto Normandale Lake Blvd from 84th St. It's about the same distance to walk as the lot on the west side of Chalet Rd. Caution: pay attention to posted signs.
In case of rain
I plan NOT to cancel this Meetup event unless the Bloomington Parks and Recreation cancels the music. I'll go out to the venue regardless of what the weather seems to be, unless I find out by early afternoon of a cancellation due to weather. Also, if I get there and it seems very likely that we will have a soaker or heavy rain, even if it isn't cancelled by Bloomington Parks and Recreation, I will cancel this Meetup event.
Once I get there I'll update with comments posted on this page.
You can check the status of the Bloomington Parks and Recreation event yourself by phoning 952-563-8878 or visiting the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/blm.mn.parks/
What to bring
The bandshell performance venue is a natural grass amphitheater with no permanent seating, so bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on.
You may also want to bring water, earplugs for when near the band (your call) and mosquito repellant (also, your call, of course). Last summer I started bringing a portable umbrella along with me.
How to locate us:
As you look at the stage from the audience, look to your right, in the shade. To locate me look for a multi-colored (red, orange, yellow, and green) baseball style cap with a jungle leaves design. I look like my photo. Also, I expect to have a balloon on a green pole near my chair.
