Emerson Avenue Band at St. Mary of the Lake Summer Festival, White Bear Lake

Emerson Avenue big band describes themselves: "...the sounds of Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Temptations, Chaka Khan, Chicago, and The BeeGee's and many more, classic 'Horn Band' dance tunes" and "R&B/Soul / Disco/Pop / Funk/Rock", all of which I think is on the mark. They do it all.
I find them very danceable and just plain fun.

Basic festival information
Food, beverages, live music from Emerson Avenue (bring lawn chairs), marketplace, jewelry sale, raffles, bingo, free kids’ games. Food options include food trucks and wine.

What to bring
Lawn chair, water, maybe sunscreen (your call, obviously), cash and credit card. I use ear plugs when near the band, but, again, obviously, that's your individual call to make. Also, limited shade in the dancing area, so sunscreen is recommended.

Weather
The day of this event you may be relying on me, your event host, Gary, to make the go/no-go decision in case of rainy weather.
The church is scaling back their festival this year and might not be the best source for timely information regarding a possible weather-related cancellation.
The performers will be under a canopy but there's no covering for the audience. The performance could possibly be moved indoors but it isn't clear to me how (or if, really) that would work.

How to find us
I look like my photo. I'll be wearing my baseball style cap: red-orange-yellow-green cap with a jungle leaves design. Also, I will have a balloon on a green 5 ft. pole near me. I'll set up in the shade, but with quick access to dancing.

If anyone has an idea for a post-event gathering at a local establishment, suggestions are welcome.
