I'll be there when the doors open at 7:00 PM. Come then and meet and mingle and help hold space at tables before the dance starts.
Music and Dance starts at 7:30 PM.

Live music performed by the New Riverside Ramblers, with special guest Gina Forsyth.
The New Riverside Ramblers are a well-known, established local authentic Cajun dance band. New Orleans-based Gina Forsyth is an award-winning singer/songwriter. She’s considered one of the best Cajun fiddlers in Louisiana!

Those who understand French - not me, but I like the sound of it - will understand the lyrics of the songs.

Styles of dance: Cajun jitterbug (similar to swing), swing, Cajun two-step, country two-step, Cajun waltz, any style waltz, and other country and ballroom dances I might be leaving out. Last year, several of us did free-style rock ‘n roll dancing on some of the fast ones.

Costumes are optional, but encouraged. Could be specifically Cajun Mardi Gras, New Orleans Mardi Gras, Carnival, or just plain festive and fun. Beads work.

How to find us:
I'll hold some space at tables that will be, as you enter the Ernie Mattson Ballroom, on the right. I'll also try to be nearer the door, rather than the stage, since there tends to be better access to the dance floor in the back row. I look like my photo.
Eagles # 34 has their own large parking lot.

Celebrate the Fat Tuesday carnival!
Let the good times roll!
In French: Laisse les bons temps rouler (pronounced "Lay say lay boh(n) toh(n) roo lay").

Sorry, due to the attendee limit, no "+1" guests allowed, only individual members RSVPing for themselves as individuals.

This group is inclusive. All are welcome.
