## Our Program
Each spring, Reach for the Stars sends a group of students from several Minneapolis-area schools to Space Camp at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama for a six-day immersive experience.
In the months leading up to camp, students participate in Mission Training Sessions one Saturday per month. During these sessions, they work together on team-building projects, explore the history of spaceflight, and run simulations that prepare them for the challenges of Space Camp. This training has proven to significantly enhance students’ experience once they arrive at camp.
- The total cost of Space Camp is approximately $2,500 per student. Families pledge what they can afford, and the group works together to raise the remaining funds so that cost is never a barrier to participation.
This year, 28 students are preparing to attend Space Camp. Families are able to cover about half the cost, leaving $37,000 to raise through community fundraising efforts.
