FREE.
Music starts at 7:30 PM.
I'll be there by 6:30 PM. Come early, before the music begins,
for introductions and conversation.

The Alligations are a house rockin’, high-energy dance show and blues band whose name pays tribute to the legendary Chicago-based blues label, Alligator Records. They’re fronted by Maurice Wilson, dubbed the "Singing Drummer”, which defines his dynamic performance style: He anchors the rhythm section while fully engaging the crowd as an energetic lead vocalist.
Performing classic blues and rock hits spanning from the 1950s to today, and celebrating styles famous in New Orleans, Texas, and Memphis, the Alligations deliver a groove that moves your feet, body, and soul.

I'll be dancing to many of their songs. Feel free to join in or not, with or without a partner. It's typically a fun group-dance happening at Lake Harriet.

Parking:
Pay parking in nearby lots. I can usually find a free spot on the street on the neighborhood just to the west of the bandshell area on Queen Ave S.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, water, cash and credit card (both is best) for parking, or food.
You might want to bring an umbrella in case a passing rain shower pops up.
Mosquito repellant may or may not be needed, but probably not (your guess is as good as mine).
I use ear plugs when dancing near the band (your call, of course).

Food and Refreshment:
Bread and Pickle is very close by, for meals, treats, beverages, wine and beer: https://www.breadandpickle.com/ , and there may possibly be a food truck or two there, also.

Weather:
In case of rain: monitor the Minneapolis Parks Music in the Parks Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mplsmusicmovies/ .
If/when I find out about any cancellation or go-ahead the day of this event I'll post a comment on this page with information as soon as I am able.

How to find us:
As you face the stage from the audience look to your right, and behind you, in a shaded area, by or on the small hill. I look like my photo. I'll be wearing my orange-green-red-yellow "jungle leaves" design cap. Look for a 5-ft. green pole with a blue pennant on it. It'll be near us.
