For three decades, Jazz at LACMA has transformed Friday evenings into something magical. I'm inviting you to join this quintessential L.A. experience as we enjoy the extraordinary Jacques Lesure Organ Quartet under the stars.

Lesure isn't just any guitarist - he's a WJ3 Records artist whose playing graces the Oscar-winning La La Land soundtrack. His illustrious career spans four decades alongside legends like Jimmy Smith and Gregory Porter. Beyond performing, he teaches at UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music and hosts his own podcast.

PRE-CONCERT SOCIAL (5:15 PM) I'm hosting a pre-show gathering where connections happen naturally. Bring your favorite bottle and a shareable treat. Solo attendees especially welcome - I personally ensure everyone meets fellow jazz enthusiast.

The vibes are electric. The tunes are on point. The crowd’s got great energy. It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable night—come join the fun!

• Concert runs 6-8 PM at Smidt Welcome Plaza (behind the iconic streetlamps)

Kicking things off with a pre-show social! Bring a blanket or your own chairs (beach chairs are fine) ... Swing by solo or with friends—no pressure, just good vibes. Pack your favorite bubbly or a snack to pass around, and don’t forget a jacket—it might get breezy! I’ll be there to welcome you and connect you with awesome folks. Let’s make it a great night from the start!
