Breakdown of the three days

Day 1

From 9am to 10am you can register and also get training from Expert DOJO coach, Mike Weeks, who is one of the top performance coaches in LA. We strongly recommend you attend this.

From 10am to 4pm, Expert DOJO Academy members will be able to group pitch your businesses to the best accelerators, Angels and Venture firms in LA. Audience members can come to watch for a modest audience attendance fee. The entire day will be full of information and pitching, and the Expert DOJO team along with Wavefront Ventures will be onsite all day to advise and help you out with anything you need. Everyone will have one minute to pitch, and if any of the investors in any of the groups like your business, they will ask you for a subsequent appointment after the event.

Important Keynotes - At noon Maxx Bricklin, Venture Partner at Bold Capital Partners, X Prize and Singularity University will speak about funding, the X Prize and everything that Peter Diamandis is creating beyond the next frontier. Then at 4pm Brock Pierce of Bitcoin fame will be speaking about developments in this area too. Two amazing speakers who are disrupting industry in a way we would all like to emulate. Evening - If you feel you need a little help with your pitch or business in general the don't worry because our favorite Expert DOJO coach and mastermind expert, Francis Dellavecchia will lead an in-depth mastermind group to get you ready for everything you want to achieve.

Day 2

How would you like to pitch to Sir Richard Branson on Necker Island along with 6 of the biggest influencers in Tech at CES? For the first time ever, the Extreme Tech Challenge is coming to LA to partner with Expert DOJO so that our members get a chance to pitch their dreams in this first round! Not only will you get the organizers of the Extreme Tech Challenge at Expert DOJO all day listening to pitches and positioning you for the best opportunity for success, but the XTC organizers will also likely be organizing a party at CES later in the year that entrants will be invited to for free (provided the venue doesn't change between now and then). Our commitment to the startup community is to bring to you the most important startup events in the world, and you can bet this is one of them.

Day 3

Meet up to 40 more investors during our Power Meeting Day

At our last Investor Festival, we had over 300 one-on-one appointments. Expect even more this time. Though if the funders don't choose your pitch as one of their favorites, don’t worry, because we have gone to the trouble to bring in some of the biggest names in investment to mentor and listen to your startup ideas. There will be an additional mentor day just for you at Expert DOJO where startups will have the opportunity to meet with leaders in the institutional investment community and get direction for their specific business models. We will have the cream of the crop, the most respected leaders in the investment sector on hand to provide the advice and help that startups need to be successful.

Each startup will be able to choose a series of mentors to meet, and we will arrange 7 minute meetings with each one. That gives you five possible meetings, as each group will be on site for two hours. We will send you the mentor appointment list one week before the event, and we will allocate appointments on a first-come, first-served basis. Again, this is just for Expert DOJO Academy members. The one-on-one meetings will wrap up at 4pm.

Evening

We will celebrate the Festival in style with an LA Tech Happy Hour party to celebrate all the excellent connections that have been made and funding conversations that have been started. We are partnered with Tech Happy Hour and Tech Day, so it's well worth coming and enjoying the evening. Expert DOJO Academy members have free attendance, as always.
