20s-30s Hike around Lake Wintergreen @ West Rock State Park

Come join us for a winter hike at beautiful West Rock State Park! This is a great opportunity to get outside, enjoy scenic views, and connect with fellow Meetup members.

The trail will be a moderate 2.1 mile hike around Lake Wintergreen with a stop at a vista point at the halfway mark. There will be a brief uphill portion to get to the vista point and back, but for the most part will be relatively flat around the lake itself.

Please wear sturdy hiking boots or trail shoes with good traction, as trails may be icy, snowy, or muddy in spots. Waterproof footwear is highly recommended. Warm socks, gloves or mittens, and a hat are strongly encouraged.

Be sure to bring water and any snacks you may want, and come prepared for winter conditions so everyone can have a safe and enjoyable experience.

**Optional:** After the hike, we can stop by nearby NEBCO in Woodbridge for a bite and some drinks for those who are up for it.

This hike is about getting moving, enjoying nature, and meeting new people rather than speed or distance. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
