How AI & Big Data are Revolutionizing Global Responses to the Coronavirus
Details
With over 80,000 confirmed cases resulting in over 2,500 deaths, the Coronavirus is posing serious risks to communities across the planet.
RMDS Lab is at the forefront of the technological battle against the Coronavirus. RMDS Lab is exploring the pandemic through the tools of data science in collaboration with Wuhan University, Harvard Dataverse, and volunteers from organizations such as IBM and Caltech. By gathering data with the help of local institutions and governments, the Project Coronavirus team is able to subsequently analyze the data and provide visualizations for how the disease is growing and spreading.
Beyond that, they are able to provide predictions through machine learning algorithms which help to determine whether a location might be at high risk of an outbreak and which sorts of responses the government should take up.
Join our very first INTERNATIONAL seminar, as we will hear from speakers in different countries discussing their work in studying the Coronavirus as well as RMDS Lab Data Science Team Manager Alicia Wei and Data Scientist David Li.
We will have free refreshments available for all REGISTERED attendees.
