Boothbay Maine Day Trip

Let’s head to Boothbay Harbor for a fun and scenic day trip adventure! Located about 1.5 hours from Portland, ME, Boothbay is a quintessential coastal town with outdoor activities.

🥾 What We’ll Do:
Start the day with a Puffin Cruise through Cap ‘n Fishes. The cruise starts at 10:00am. Puffins are seabirds that nest off Eastern Egg Rock Island during the summer months. Then we will grab lunch in the town. (Feel free to send any recommendations.) After lunch, we can decide as a group to either explore the town, walk a scenic trail to see a few lighthouses or go to the beach.

Time: 9:15 AM — The boat leaves at 10:00 AM, so please arrive on time to meet the group before boarding.
Parking: Waterfront Parking lot located at 42 Commercial Street Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538. This is a paid lot so there may be other parking in the area.

🚗 Carpooling:
The travel to Boothbay is a 1.5 hour from Portland, ME. If anyone is interested, it can discuss carpooling in the Meetup group chat.

⛴️ Cap n’ Fish’s Cruise:

🍽️ Lunch:
We’ll eat at one of the local restaurants after our Puffin cruise.

☀️ What to Expect:
This is a longer outdoor experience, so come prepared to be with the group for 5 hours or more and be in the sun for most of the day. Bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes!
