[Buckhead] Upper Room - Secret Kamayan-style Filipino Pop-up Spot *Date TBD*

Photos courtesy of Yelp.

So there's a new Filipino restaurant in town, and guess what: it's a hidden secret inside the TOMO Japanese restaurant in Buckhead. It's so hidden and elusive that advance reservations are required to get in - however, the word is out: the food and experience is worth checking out for the price of around ~$40 a person.

Those lucky enough to have gotten in have raved about items like the Pork Lumpia, Pork Belly Steamed Bun, Shoyu Ramen, all Kamayan style. "Kamayan" in Filipino means "with hands", and denotes eating everything with bare hands. This may be one of the only spots in Atlanta that allows you to eat Kamayan-style. Filipino foodies - correct me if I'm wrong?

Since this is a reservation-only event, I've sent out a request to get a spot just for us foodies only - so until we've heard back, go ahead and RSVP if you'd be down to go. Details will be updated as soon as we get a slot. Note that as of the most recent post by Upper Room, the prix-fixe cost per person is $40.

**Gentle reminder, you are responsible for your portion of the tab and bringing cash is optional. I recommend that you ask your waiter/waitress in advance for individual tabs.**

If you RSVP 'Yes' and do not update/modify your RSVP 48 hrs. prior to this event, you will be wait-listed for future events. Several times of last minute cancellations with no reason and 3 no-shows will get you removed from the group.

You must RSVP if you care to join, as drop-ins may not be given a seat and no-shows are frowned upon. So please RSVP with absolute knowledge that you will be attending. If less than 4 people RSVP 'Yes' prior to 48 hrs of this event.. it may be cancelled. If you need to contact us in regards to this event, please post a comment below, contact the event organizer, or event host. Thank you :)

Disclaimer: Host/organizer of this event is an unpaid volunteer. All participants agree to assume 100% responsibility for their own portion of the bill/tab, safety, conduct, well-being and solely agree to participate upon their own accord. When you RSVP 'Yes', it shall be conclusively presumed that you understand and agree to this policy.

See you guys there!
