Morbid History: Because You're More Interesting When You're Dead
Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S Prospect Ave, Elmhurst, IL, USFrom grand corpse larceny in medieval Venice to the iron coffins popping up in Lincoln Park, this light-hearted presentation from award-winning filmmaker Lorrisa Julianus takes you around the world with spine-tingling true tales you never learned in history class. Lorrisa covers, among other topics: the bizarre burials of the Habsburg royal family; the terror of Resurrectionists digging up bones; American cemetery history; the truth of the Smithsonian collections; and Chicago’s largest cemetery, which never really got moved.
