Sandstone Peak Loop (6-6.5)

I have hiked quite a few trails in my life, and I can definitively say that Sandstone Peak is one of my all time favorites. The hike is absolutely stunning the entire time, featuring the echo cliffs (often with tons rock climbers on them), beautiful sandstone formations, wildlife, flowers, and some of the best views you have ever seen! If the group wants there is a small detour to hidden spot that I always go to, which is amazing in and of itself. This hike is certainly a good challenge, but still very doable at about 6 miles and 1300 feet of gain. If we do the bonus, it would probably be 6.5 miles and another couple hundred feet of gain, but its more than worth it.
This hike is about a 50 minute drive from Ventura, so folks can carpool. I would be happy to give a few people a ride, message me if interested! Be sure to bring plenty of snacks and water as always.
