What we're about
Upcoming events (4)
Come and join us for volleyball on Thursday evenings! It's a fun, friendly, and playfully competitive environment with few rules and socializing in between games. We'll get started setting up at 6:15pm but don’t worry if you can’t get there until later – we switch up teams throughout the evening so it’s easy to jump in – and we usually play until 9 or so. It's nice playing as the sun goes down and we have a speaker for music. We'll be trying Kleinman Park this week with a couple in Tempe as a backup if the courts are busy. We'll be back at Esteban park as soon as Phoenix opens up their volleyball courts again. Can request this from the Phoenix Mayor/council members here: https://www.phoenix.gov/mayorcouncil Support Merissa Hamilton to replace the current mayor in November too. Feel free to message here with any questions. Hope people can make it! Don't forget to bring sunglasses and water too. Coronavirus update: Stay home if you're feeling ill in any way or if you're concerned about getting/exposing anyone close to you with coronavirus. Even though we'll be outside keep in mind that any socializing contains some risk at the moment.
Howdy folks! Let's do a small afternoon picnic in the park, come along for some volleyball and games or just to hang out and meet some new people! Open invite to anyone in their 20s/early 30s as usual, come along by yourself (best way, and what most people do) or feel free to bring friends, housemates, partners etc, it'll be a great event to meet people especially if you're new to the city! Dogs are welcome too. It'll be at Chaparral Park in Scottsdale this time as the Phoenix parks are closed. I've reserved a big Ramada on the south side by the lake, that way we have lots of shaded table space too. Will put up some grass volleyball courts plus we'll have music, snacks, a water cooler etc but if you can bring some food/drinks as well that would be awesome! Suncreen/sunglasses also recommend. There's plenty of parking in the area, aside from the lot just south of the ramada there's a couple of big lots on the north side of the park, it's only a short walk. Should be a fun afternoon! Let's meet some new people and have some drinks Downtown after this coronavirus pandemic ends (Date TBD)! After what could be an extended period of isolation I hope lots of people are up for socializing, meeting new people, and helping our local bars recover! Will probably go to The Park bar again as they have a great outdoor patio area. Open invite to anyone in their 20s/early 30s as usual, come along by yourself (best way, and what most people do) or feel free to bring friends, housemates, partners etc, it'll be a great event to meet people especially if you're new to the city! Definitely RSVP if you're coming as we may do a guestlist at the door. I'd recommend getting an Uber or Lyft as everyone usually has some drinks. I'll bring glowstick wristbands so everyone knows who's part of our group. Hope you can make it, this is the best event if you're new to the group so don't miss out!
