Hike Water Wheel Falls 🥾💦 25-30s

Details
Date: Saturday, July the 12th
Location: Target Parking Lot in Fountain Hills
Time: 7:00am
Join us for a refreshing summer hike to Water Wheel Falls, a scenic trail near Payson Arizona known for its beautiful waterfall, clear swimming holes, and shaded areas along the East Verde River. The trail is a 1.6-mile out-and-back route (0.8 miles each way) and typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes each direction depending on pace and stops. It's a relatively short hike but includes rocky terrain and some light scrambling, so sturdy shoes and good balance are helpful.
Important Notes:
Each driver will need a Tonto Day Pass. These can be purchased at local gas stations for $8 or at the trailhead for roughly $12. Each person does not need a pass, but each vehicle will.
Be cautious of high temperatures, bring plenty of water, snacks, and sun protection.
Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times.
We will meet at 7:00 AM sharp at the Target parking lot in Fountain Hills to carpool or caravan to the trail head. We plan to start early to beat the heat and enjoy the water while it's still quiet.
Coordinates for the trailhead:
(34.3510380, -111.2856621)
Fee Required: Yes, Tonto Day Pass
4 Wheel Drive: Not Needed
Looking forward to another adventure! 🥳
