Hike w/ BYO picnic lunch: Black Hill Reg'l pk (Boyds MD)

Details
This 8.6mile mostly moderate, hilly hike has ~900ft. of total ascent. Pace: 3mph. The trek roams Black Hill Regional Park, a place home to a big body of water that also offers picnic shelters, watercraft rentals, & more. After gazing into the hidden Black Hill Gold Mine the hike briefly descends OFF- TRAIL before traversing over streams inside the woodland wonderland, featuring a placid path that parallels Little Seneca Creek. Latter of the circuit snakes through suburbia then views the remnants of Waters' Mill Ruins, subsequently concluding with a sublime shoreline saunter. Highlights include a mysterious mound of rocks, a befitting boardwalk, & a delightful dock. BYO picnic lunch to enjoy by the water post- hike; consider bringing a lawn chair and/ or blanket as table seating is limited. An adventurous amble!
NOTES:
1. Trail Forecast= MAP; Alltrails | Boots advised; varying terrain. Some birding opportunities.
2. This event is cross- listed, RSVP w/ only 1 Meetup.
3. Footnote: I would rate this as a HARD trek for casual hikers/ hiking in high- heat weather.
