With 35,000+ members, we are the ORIGINAL 20s & 30s Going Out Group, and the 2nd largest Meetup group in the world! This social group is for people mostly their 20s and 30s, in the Washington DC metro area, who enjoy dancing, dining, pubs, clubs, outdoor activities, road trips, dinner parties, and other local activities.
This group is for married people, single people, new-in-towners, and people who have been in the DC area for a while and are simply looking for a new group to go out with. Membership is FREE, and you only have to be friendly and fun to join!
We host a regular-occurring happy hour where we raise money for various local charities (all voluntary donations). See the results of our fundraising here.

NOTE: I've been getting the following question often lately: "Are you affiliated with Mer and his Guys & Girls (20s & 30s) Going Out Group?" No. I've never met or spoken with Mer. My group is the original "20s & 30s Going Out Group" and has always been called that, well before his group existed. His group was originally called Guys & Girls Night Out. He then changed his group's name to Guys & Girls Going Out Group, and then again changed it to Guys & Girls (20s & 30s) Going Out Group. We run our groups and events separate and apart from each other; the groups are not associated with one another in any way. I also run the 30s & 40s Going Out Group, Global Travelers Going Out Group, and the eWheel Going Out Group, all of which are also not associated with any of Mer's groups. Lastly, with the exception of my international trips, none of my events are "joint" events where multiple (often non-associated) groups are invited to the same event.

While this group (20s & 30s Going Out Group) is closed (see the group's Meetup description; see also the original announcement that was emailed to the group here... http://goingoutgroup.com/retiregog/ ), some of you may not know that I still run the eWheel Going Out Group.
The eWheel Going Out Group tours DC while riding electric devices (e.g. electric scooter, electric bike, electric skateboard, electric unicycle, onewheel, etc.)! We visit sites, memorials, neighborhoods, landmarks, etc. along the way and learn a little bit about their history.
The tours are free (!) and we only need to supply our own electric device. If you don't own an electric wheel, you can rent one (e-scooter, e-bike) using your favorite micromobility app. The cost is less than a comparable Segway tour (that uses older technology)!
