About us
Welcome to the 20th Century Canon Meetup, a group dedicated to reading and discussing some of the greatest novels of the 1900s!
Together, we’ll work through selections from Modern Library’s list of the 100 Best English-Language Novels of the Twentieth Century—books that have stood the test of time and continue to shape how we understand our world and ourselves.
Each month, we’ll read one novel and come together for (hopefully!) thoughtful, engaging discussion. Our conversations will go beyond plot summaries to explore themes, characters and the deeper meaning of the work.
This group is open to both seasoned readers and those newer to classic literature. What matters most is good manners, genuine interest in thought-provoking books and meaningful dialogue!
