Kilimanjaro Climbs ( open Group climbs)

Urth Expedition offers both private climbs and open group climbs. A private climb can begin any day of the year, using any route. Each private group can keep the group closed or allow others to join. We will never add people to a private climb without the group's consent. Most of our climbs are private. But by popular request, we also offer open group climbs - our most affordable way of climbing. There is no minimum number of people for the climb to be held and no maximum number for the group. Before the Corona pandemic, our open group climbs averaged 5 climbers per group. The largest has been 16 people and the smallest has been 1 person. For the open group climbs, it is understood that additional climbers will be added without consultation.

Climb package includes:
Airport pick up and drop off - Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)
Accommodation one night before and one night after the trek in Moshi
All park fees and rescue fees for the national park, including 18% VAT
All meals and water while on the mountain
All salaries for guides, assistant guides, chefs, porters
Transport to and from the park gate
Oxygen for altitude sickness emergencies
All camping equipment (tents, tables, chairs, cooking equipment, dining tent, sleeping mattress -- but not sleeping bag)
Private toilet(s) for your group. There will be no more than seven trekkers sharing one private toilet.
Open Group Climbs include a special welcome dinner and celebration dinner.
Note: We will not pair people together in the Moshi hotel unless they sign up for the climb together for open groups. If signing up with another person, please let us know if each person wants a single room. During the period where extra Corona precautions are in force, we will not pair two people in tents unless they sign up together. Each person will get a single tent. There will be no extra charge for this, but it will increase the number of porters required.

A 30% deposit will secure your climb. We accept payments via wire transfer directly into our bank account or online payment by credit/debit card (3% bank fee for this option). The remaining balance is not due until 60 days of arrival.
