22 Walk

The 22-mile walk is being organized to promote exercise as a means of improving mental health and to raise awareness about the issue of veterans' suicide. The walk is open to all individuals who want to participate and show their support for the cause.
When: Saturday, September 23, 3023 at 5am - 1:30pm
Where: Begin at Desert Bloom Park in Las Vegas and walk to Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
Water check points will be approximately four miles apart at:
1. PF Changs parking lot at GVR (Need Volunteers or Sponsor)
2. UPRR Trail Parking Lot @ Fiesta Henderson Blvd (Sponsored by Johnny Mac's)
3. UPRR Trail Parking Lot @ Nevada State Dr
4. River Mountain Loop Trail Parking Lot @ Railroad Pass - join the last leg of the walk here, WE DEPART AT NOON
We need volunteers at these check points to distribute water and communicate to the shuttles if someone needs a ride.
What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, snacks, any flags and signs you’d like to share to honor our veterans, and a donation to our fundraising page.
Registration: Anyone can go. Just come walk. Bring your own water vessel. Liability forms will be signed before we walk.
Benefiting: Operation Veteran Community is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was born out of veterans who love to take to the open road on motorcycles. Op Vet Com gets veterans together to do rides through some of the most beautiful parts of our country. Donate Here
