For the Love of Type: A Crash Course on Web Typography by Mattox Shuler

Although it’s often an after-thought, typography is one of the most important aspects of good web design. We’ll cram in as much as we can to cover all you need to know about creating good typography on the web. Topics will include how to choose a typeface, what to look for when laying out type, how to create typographic hierarchy, and more. It should be a lot of fun, and hopefully you'll leave with a healthy appreciation, if not a new obsession, for type.
