Hello Turku! Lets do maps together!

MaptimeTurku is a meeting place for discussing and making maps. It's easy! It's like knitting socks. You only need to see how its been done.

It has been a while since we last met. This time we could really do maps! Maps have become quite a thing in the interior design. I heard that some of them are done by Photoshop (by tracing lines from guide maps - usch!). Should we try making graphic map designs with QGIS? Open data allows you to create detailed maps without much effort. But how to make them beautiful? Let's try to make a poster map from our home area - it would be a nice present to somebody loving maps. This date is a suggestion, if you can't make it, we can reschedule.
