Blogger Fair

The News-Herald and Press & Guide in Dearborn will host a Blogger Fair from 6 to 8 p.m. July 17 at The News-Herald, One Heritage Place in Southgate. The event will feature a 30-minute presentation about the Southeast Michigan Media Lab and a new real-time video tool called Tout, and then breakout groups for beginner bloggers and advanced bloggers. Beginners will learn how to set up a blog, navigate the tools, promote their blogs on social media and monetize them. The advanced session will cover how to insert audio and video feeds on blogs, feature photo slideshows and galleries, and other bells and whistles that will keep readers coming back for more. Information will be shared on how to become a blogging partner with Heritage Media and other news outlets across Michigan affiliated with 21st Century Media, parent company of The News-Herald and Press & Guide.
